I mean, I understand that the REAL issues that should drive this election: economic policies that include 100% of the population, healthcare, social justice, and job creation are really, really complicated issues. But why is it easier to play out the debate on women’s bodies?

Pay attention, though, Texas will not be the last state to approve anti-abortion legislation that amounts to state sanctioned medical rape. Anyone who has ever has to have a trans-vaginal ultrasound will know that this is not taking it too far.

But at what point will women be willing to stand up and say WE’RE MAD AS HELL AND WE’RE NOT TAKING IT ANY MORE. OUR BODIES ARE NOT POLITICAL PLATFORMS.
